MM Needs New Marketing People

While I'm giving my opinions, let's go back and revisit the Team Macromedia fiasco! MM dumped some of the very best evangilists they had. Why? No one seems to know. They replaced a few with some rather dim witted people who talk a lot but know nothing! I say MM's marketing department took too many dumb pills.

Then MM dreams up the product activation scheme, apparently thinking this would stop the pirates and who cares about their loyal users inconvenience. It won't stop pirates but it will tick off loyal customers who pay for the products.

Lastly, the fiasco with the new product 2004 roll out. They can't service their customers apparently because their roll out was too massive or their customer service took a vacation! There are reports of phones not being answered. Those of us that do get through and are inquiring about our "free" upgrade are met with "continue to check back at the web site to see when we will have it ready". Then fax in information we already have. After that you can fill out a form to stand in line to get the Serial # we should just have given you 2 weeks ago!

Macromedia! You are killing yourself with poor, inadequate and dillenquent customer service. You shot yourself in the foot really bad when you dumped the Team MM people we all came to love and respect. They were the best FREE marketing tool you ever had.
