ok - here's my problem:

i've built a site using dropdown menus which successfully hover over an embedded Flash movie in all browsers but Safari.

by setting the parameter "wmode" to "transparent" i've gotten the menus to display over Flash in all browsers - but with Safari, my results are scattered. the menu appears to twich when over Flash - at times displaying over and at times masking behind the Flash.

there's no consistency to it's behavior and it doesn't seem to correlate to either the specific Flash movie embedded on the page or the specific menu that's triggered on or off.

has anyone run into a similar problem?

the easy answer is to simply feed Safari a .gif instead, but the website i'm building is geared toward mac users - so shutting them out of the coolest features doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

any help would be greatly appreciated...

when a movieclip or button is on the stage, the menus twitch over and behind the movieclip / button - displaying inconsistenty...

I don't have a Mac OS so I can't really try it for myself...

But what is the version of Mac OS and of the flash player? You may have older version of flash players installed as well.
