I created a pop-up (drop-down) menu nav bar in Fireworks. The pop-up menu
format uses "images" instead of "html". When I convert it to HTML it works
great. But when I convert the HTML to a Dreamweaver template, so that it can
be used at the top of every page, Dreamweaver converts all my pop-up menu
boxes from images to a solid color. And when I do a mouse-over on them, the
boxes change to a dark solid color. But I can still see the text. Also, IE loses all button functionality for the drop down items. First, I tried opening the Fireworks HTML in Dreamweaver and saving it as a template. Then I tried opening a fresh template and inserting the Fireworks HTML into it. Both had the same above result.

Well it worked for me, doesn't seem as smooth as I'd like though

I don't know if you've tried it or not, I had the same problem, I put all fireworks images and everything in the same directory as the template cause dreamweaver seemed a little stupid about working out where to look for things.
Having said that, it all works except for the mouse overs on the pop up menus! Except once, I got it to work once, and I have no idea how!
