I realize that it's probably futile to bring this up, but...

in version 1, this control is incompatible with the advanced form validations provided by Macromedia as part of the Javascript Integration Kit for Macromedia Flash MX and MX 2004. The IE message is : "Can't move focus to the control because it is invisible, not enabled, or of a type that does not accept the focus."

At least that's the result using IE 6.0

Hummm, interesting.

I am getting the same problem with version 2 which I downloaded yesterday (01/11). I am doing my own hand crafted validation checking for fields to be > "" to be ok. I have put the code in that you suggested Camillah and all is still not good.

Any more suggestions as all I want to do is to check if the field is not entered and if so alert the user and stop processing the form.

One thing I forgot to mention is that the form also has an ASP Upload object on there so the user can enter a title of a pdf file, a description (using the HTML Editor) and browse for the filename. This may have something to do with it?

Cheers

Hi Bob,

As this isn't a real bug, please post these kind of issues not in the bug report to keep the forum clean.
You can discuss this in General or post your question on our TalkZones so more people get chance to answer.

Providing your code or giving a detailed description will make it easier for others to help you finding a solution.

In all fairness I must say that I have tried four different full-fledged cross-browser HTML editors and they *all* interfere with customer Javascript. I haven't delved into it at depth (after all, I thought I had purchased an unlimited function) but apparently they all need to capture a variety of events and do not properly propagate them.

For now I would suggest to seek an alternative to adding Javascript to the page in question.
