Problems with the Styles Drop Menu
Reported 10 Feb 2005 21:07:21

has this problem
10 Feb 2005 21:07:21 Robert Currer posted:
When making a style change, it isn't always possible to highlight text and then select a style from the styles drop menu. If the user is required to use the scroll in the styles drop menu, as soon as they click the scroll bar, it deselects the text. The only way to scroll in the drop menu is with a mouse wheel. As well, it isn't possible to close the drop menu unless you make a selection. Clicking outside the menu does nothing. It still stays open. Is there a fix for this? Thanks

Same thing happens with both the other lists: font and size.
I really wish someone out there would get busy on the next version. I keep asking for an ETA but I'm getting no answers. Is anyone listening?

It's now December and I just came on line to report exactly this problem and found it is already here! I have the latest version (2.0.4) of the editor so clearly the problem has not been fixed yet. Does anyone know of a solution?
Thanks,
Cliff

This has always been a problem as far as I am concerned. Easy to reproduce too. Let me know when it's fixed. (and the firefox 1.5 tag display thing).

Hi All,
just released ver 2.05 that fixes this error.
>>> What's new in 2.05:
* in IE clicking on the scrollbar in dropdown menus sometimes losses selection
* Firefox 1.5 shows html as initial value
* images freeze and can not be edited when having two editors with Firefox
* added public functions dmxedit_getHTML / dmxedit_setHTML
* improved color coding in code view
* DW8 compatibility issues
>>> Installing the new extension:
Pleas remove the previous version completely in Extension Manager and then install the new version.
>>> Update the existing scripts in your site:
If you've used a previous version of Advanced HTML Editor 2 you can update your site by opening one page of it and then run the command “Update Advanced HTML Editor” from the commands menu. You will see an alert telling you that the Script files have been updated. Make sure you upload the files to the live site.
Greetings,
George
