Soundtrack playing too fast

When attaching an MP3 as a soundtrack, the soundtrack plays in fast motion like "Alvin & the Chipmonks". I have tried setting the soundtrack while the slideshow is being created and after the creation under the properties tab in DreameamWeaver and I get the same results.
