Hello, my name is Jade. I'm trying to create a web site in Dreamweaver8. I'm having trouble figuring out how to create a form. I want users to be able to enter information and then either have the info emailed to me, or better yet have the information posted on the website (as a list maybe). I want people to be able to click on an event on a calender and see who has already said they'll be at the event, and to be able to add their name to the list for that event. I'm very new to web designing, although I've built a website on FrontPage, but FrontPage and DW seem to be very different. I also do not know much about code writing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Thanks Roddy! I can set up the form and the different form fields, I just can't get them to print out to where I want them to go. After doing a lot of searching and reading, I think I've come to the conclusion that I need some serious lessons on how to make dynamic web pages. Just seems to me you should be able to have a form field printed to a .txt file without having to go through a forms data directory or data share. If there is a way please let me know, but I think it'd be best if I prepared for the worst in this case. Thank you very much though, I do greatly appreciate it!

Well normally i work out all my dynamic web pages using php. I didn't quite understand the question. If you want to write to a text file then you will definitely need to learn some server side scripting like php or asp. If i can help you just shout on the forum <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle> .
