I purchased flash enhancer 1.0.0 on 12/05/2007. I have Dreamweaver MX 2004

When the extension 1.0.0 was installed I had the icon in the 'common' tools bar and was able to start the Flash enhancer interface and build an interactive button.

However when I uploaded all files ( including scripts folder) the button did not work work i.e. it did not have a border or animate. I do have the flash plugin installed on my computer and can view your flash enhancer demos from the DMXZone web site.

I have now upgraded to 1.0.1 and 1.0.2 however neither of these versions have installed correctly, i.e. I no longer have the icon in the common tools bar and the interface does not startup from the DMXZone menu under Insert. I have tried both over writing a current version and also removing previous version before upgrade ( all through the extension manager ).

So far,since 12/05, I have not been able to build one single button with Flash Enhancer, any clues please ?

Hi Trevor,

Check if the paths to ScriptLibrary folder are correct.
If the problem persist please provide a link to your page with Flash Image Enhancer.

You could also check the following sample with Flash Image Enhancer to see if it is displayed correctly at your browser:

Yes, the problem with the 1.0.0. version was with the path to the ScriptLibrary, so that is now working.

Do you have any ideas why the upgrade to 1.0.1 or 1.0.2 has failed to install correctly in MX 2004. I can't now get the extension to start via Insert and the icon is missing from the Common tool bar. I had no error messages while installing either upgrade version of the extension.

Also a question: What's the minimum version of flash plugin that needs to be installed on the PC of someone viewing my site with Flash Image Enhanced buttons ?

Indeed in the latest versions the extension is accessible through the following menu: <i> Insert &gt; DMXZone &gt; Flash Image Enhancer </i>
What error you receive when you try the above menu?

Flash Image Enhancer functionality is tested at Flash Player version 9,0,28,0

Hi,

When I choose Insert&gt;DMXZone&gt;Flash Image Enhancer&gt; simply nothing happens i.e. no error message, no interface starts etc. Dreamweaver does not freeze, I can still access anything else.

It looks like a problem with your installation.
Try to uninstall it from Extension Manager and when install it again.

I have gain uninstalled and reinstalled versions 1.0.1 or 1.0.2 via Extension Manager, still no success ( have tried about 5 times on each version ). If I go back to version 1.0.0 that installs Ok and also gives me the Flash Image Enhancer icon in the common tools bar.

Hi Trevor,

After you deinstalled, then installed the extension in EM and then start DW - did you got the Installation Wizard?
If not that might be the problem and you should clean up by following this faq:

I'm having a similar problem and think it is the path to script library folder. How do I check or change it?

I have just bought the latest Flash Image Enhancer and the Advanced Layer Popup.

My first primary problem is that when I upload all files and folders (including ScriptLibrary and Styles) that the enhancments do not work on the internet - they do work when just tested on my PC.

Secondly, I find I cannot get both the Enhancer and Popup facilities to work together. It is one or the other, yet they are working together in the demo display.

The problem is somehow connected with the name of the Folder, as, if I open it from my C drive, it works fine, but if I change the name of the folder, then it does not work until I change the name back.

Naturally, when you upload to a server, it is in a different folder on the server.

Can any one help.

The most probable reason Flash Image Enhancer malfunctioning, when it is uploaded, is incorrect path to the files on which it depend.

Thanks for getting back to me.

I have solved the problem of making them work on the internet.

There is a sample page at: www.upnaway.com/~stuarto/leisurecat.html

This enhanced image links to another page with a popup; so have managed to get them working independently.

However, I still have the problem of not being able to make both the enhancer and popup work together as they do on your demo.

I have watched the demo over and over and tried to followed it through without success. I have followed the instructions again and again - without success.

All the settings in both appear correct. The thing I notice is that if I set the Enhancer first and then the Popup the Behaviour/Events panel is greyed out. If I set the Popup first, the Events panel shows (onMouseOver), but as soon as I then try to add the Enhancer the Events panel becomes clear. When I then look in the Actions box, Advanced Layer Popup is greyed out - the same if I set the Enhancer first.

As I cannot get them to work together, I cannot show a working sample.

I fyou can suggest where I am going wrong I would appreciate it.
