Hello,

I am wondering if I can place the gallery in a div container that would be set to hidden on page load, and then appear via a dreamweaver spry behavior "appear/fade" that would be called from a nav li?
Can I load multiple galleries in a number of hidden containers on a single page using this method?
Is there a way to control image loading so that all galleries do not load onpageload but rather on div load?

I am attempting to design a compliant gallery site w/o js_flash which will play nice on a single index.

Also, I would really like to see some pages that users have created...

Thanks for any insights,

Bill Cooper

Yes CSS Image Gallery can be used with Spry controls such as: Spry Tabbed Panels or Spry Collapsible Panel.
(If that's what you mean).

Check the image bellow:

Unfortunately, at this point CSS Image Gallery is loaded always with the load of the page.

I hope that this helps you.

Thank you for your reply.

The spry control would simply be a onclick event that "unhides" a div container that resides on the page.
The gallery would be placed into that div.
If the gallery doesn't implode inside the spry widgets you tried it with, it probably wouldn't be a problem
under those circumstances either.

Highest regards,

Bill

Hi Bill,

Just as note - even if the gallery is visible ie loaded - it is so smart that it only preloads just the first 2 images!
When the user browses the gallery further then it preloads images 2 at the time.

So you shouldn't worry for the hidden galleries.

Greetings,
George

You read my mind George <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle> I was worried, and it seemed like a deal smasher.
I'll probably have 60 to 80 images available for browsing in galleries that contain
10 images each. Most images are illustrations that come in around 20-30k,
but there is some larger raster stuff in there as well.

Thanks!
