HiFIE has suddenly stopped working in Firefox - sites that have worked for sometime and have been happily displaying multiple dynamic images on a page now only display the first image and every subsequent image space displays the message 'error loading Test.jpg'. Here are some examples:
Live site (well nearly they have yet to load the treatments) www.squirrelsdental.co.uk
Soon to be launched site - www.synergygraphics.co.uk
Underdevelopment site - www.lichfield.my-fun.co.uk
Example page created to show client proposed layout www.one.gillespieandco.com
If you remove FIE then the image displays correctly
Your urgent help with this appreciated
FireFox version 2.0.0.11
Thanks
Jon

Hi Jon,
Please make sure that you have the latest version installed and running.
If the issue persists please provide us with the following information:

<li>Check if your page gives any errors:</li>
<ul>
<li>Make sure the Firebug debugger installed (www.getfirebug.com) </li>
<li>Open Firefox - make sure Firebug is enabled. </li>
<li>Open Firebug (either from the menu's or from the green icon in the right side of the status bar in Firefox) </li>
<li>Go to the tab "Net" to see all downloads - make sure that "All" is selected so you see all kind of files</li>
<li>Locate the call to the extension ASP/PHP file - xxxx.asp/php</li>
<li>Click on it and then choose the "Response" tab</li>

This problem still exists and some help asap would be appreciated
Here is the screen correctly working in IE7:
<img src="www.thinkanddo.co.uk/ecademy/IE7_image.png" border=0>
Here is the issue as a firefox 2.0.0.12 screen shot with firebug open showing an 404 error for the image test.jpg
<img src="www.thinkanddo.co.uk/ecademy/firebug_image.png" border=0>
The image is not called test.jpg but is called 519098_55218140.jpg in the firebug log you can see this is correctly loaded prior to having Flash Image Enhancer applied some how on the second use when dynamic the name test.jpg is being substituted for the correct name but only in FireFox. Where does the name test.jpg come from?
Here is the code for the page as displayed in dreamweaver
<img src="www.thinkanddo.co.uk/ecademy/code_image.png" border=0>
However if you look at the page source in the broswer the correct filename is shown so this problem must occur in the extensions code which must be generating the name test.jpg but only when its firefox!
<img src="www.thinkanddo.co.uk/ecademy/page_source.png" border=0>
To see the site live visit www.synergygraphics.co.uk
THis is causing me quite a bit of embarassment as several sites which were working correctly in FireFox no longer do.
Thanks
Jon Upton

Hi Kiril
It is exactly the same on 2.0.0.13
I have ensured that the latest versions of the scripts in the scriptlibrary folder have been uploaded
Firebug shows exactly the same results as shown in my previous posting
<img src="www.thinkanddo.co.uk/ecademy/FireFox23_Image.png" border=0>
Again if you view the page source the correct image name is shown in the code so it has to be something to do with the scripts and the passing of the name to flash
<img src="www.thinkanddo.co.uk/ecademy/source2_image.png" border=0>
Your help appreciated
Jon

Hi Jon,
As I can see you get error 404 meaning that you do not have access to the image. In addition, please make sure you have installed and running Flash for FF since the extension uses Flash to display the images.

I think you should have thought about this before sending such a quick reply
If I didn't have Flash installed the first image wouldn't display would it!
Please can we do some serious investigation not clutch at straws
You need to read all the posts and take in the information sent
The issue is that somehow when a second image is displayed on a page the name is changed to test.jpg when sent to or received by flash image enhancer and thereby a 404 error is generated
If you look at the firebug dialogue you will see the correct name is passed by the pages code but an image test.jpg is called for loading by flash image enhancer
If you look at the section of code pasted from view source you will see that the correct filename is in the code
THis error has to be happening in the interaction between flash image enahncer and firefox which is out of the control of users like me
Thank you
Jon Upton

Hi Jon,
Could you please give me more details on the exact steps that you are doing? I seem not be able to reproduce your issue.
In addition, do you have a test.jpg record in your database?
