I am trying to insert a new image into a gallery and get the following error message: "While executing timer in dmxCSSImgGal.htm, a Javascript error occurred."

I have already reinstalled the extension and cleared the DW cache file. Because of this error, I must recreate the entire gallery to add new image.

I am using Dreamweaver CS3 on a Vista Home Premium workstation. My gallery is in on an html page.

How does this get fixed?

Same error message, and it's depressing because I just purchased the software and I'm unable to give it a test drive.

What is the time frame for finding a work around or solution this this issue, I'm dead in the water.

My new error message is "While executing inspectionSelection in dmxCSSImgGal.htm, a JavaScript error occurred. This error message pops up three (3) times and then I receive the message "gallery is created" with an exclamation, which is strange, usually an exclamation mark icon is an indication of a problem not a successful install.

After clicking ok on the success then I receive the following error message "While executing inspection Selection in dmxCSSImgGal.htm, the following JavaScript error(s) occurred; At line 66 of the c:\Program Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 8\ Configuration\Inspectors\dmxCSSImgGal.js":TypeError: the ImageObj has no properties.

Help, please respond. []

Hello Troy,

Please, try to clear your DW cache. If that doesn't help, reinstall the extension in following manner:
Close DW, open Extensions Manager and remove the extension, restart DW and close it again, then install the extension again.

Same kind of problem. I get this error message over and over again:
"While executing inspectSelection in dmxCSSImgGal.htm, a Java Script error occured".
Then a message that the gallery is succesfully created. The gallery seems to work ok, exept for the borders around the thumbnails (they're not in place).
Then everytime I "touch" the gallery, either in code or design view, the error message pops up again.
I cleared the DW cache file and reinstalled the extension the way you suggested, but no change...

Hi All,

I'm very sorry for the trouble - seems we had a last minute error in the extensions package.

It is all fixed now please just download and install the extensions again.

Note the version is still the same 1.0.5, the file you will be downloading has also same name dmxCSSImgGal105.mxp but it is updated.

So just download and reinstall and the problem should be solved.
