Hello Marzio,

Do you have XML Flash Slideshow Creator version 3.0.3 by N G Rohler at DWUser.com installed?
If so remove it.
This slideshow extension from N G Rohler seriously distorts whole Dreamweaver making it very unstable and making it produce all kind of weird javascript errors - so it should be removed immediately.
The extension from N G Rohler overwrites and extents the DW DOM model in a way that it should never be done as it breaks the whole Dreamweaver and its working! Read the discussion about this if you are interested.

If you don't haveXML Flash Slideshow Creator installed, please, try uninstalling the dmxCalendar, clean the DW's cache file and reinstall calendar.
Awaiting your feedback.

Please also remove it and try again. Extensions from DWuser.com modify Dreamweaver in a very bad way, making it totally unstable.

I'm wondering Marzio if you ever came up with a solution to the conflict between the two extensions as I am having the same problem.

I wrote to DWuser.com and after a couple of trys they were able to post a new version of Maximenu that corrects the problem completely. Turn around time was amazing, 2 days. They were very responsive and seemed seriously concerned about repairing the problem - which they did.

Hey Miroslav! I am now getting this error when loading a page on which I have never used dmxCalendar - as a matter of fact, I never used that extension on any of the pages of this particular client's site. Additionally, the extensions mentioned in this posting I do not use. Is there anything else that can cause this error?

I discovered the error when I loaded a page locally to edit a slideshow created by Extend Studios under DW CS3 on Windows 7. It pops up each time I add a new slide to the embedded show.

Hi Mike,

The problem with the Maximenu extension from DWuser.com does not only affect the DMXzone CAlendar. Are you using any other DMXzone extensions on your pages? Also have a look at this FAQ!

Kind regards, Patrick

On that page, no. The javascript error was referrencing dmxCalendar, which was definitely not in use.

Hi Mike,

Seems like this is another problem from the one that started this post. Could you please post the complete error message or e-mail me a screenshot?

Kind regards, Patrick

The error says "while executing canInspectSelection in dmxCalendar.htm, a Javascript error occurred"

I kept a copy of the screen shot. It occurred when editing a slideshow that was not created by a dmxzone extension - AND when I save the page. I did not use dmxCalendar on this particular page.

Hi Mike,

The page doesn't matter. Once you installed an extension from DWuser.com like MaxiMenu or XML Slideshow creator - they break Dreamweaver. Doesn't matter if you use them on a page or not.

You really have to uninstall them fully from Extension Manager to solve the DW problems.

George

That's the problem, George........I don't use or own either one of those extensions. The slideshow extension used on that page was the Image Show Pro by Extend Studios - could it be the culprit?

Hi Mike,

I checked the page you send me but could not really discover any abnormalities ... it looks all good.
Of course I don't have the extension from extendstudio so I don't know what is going wrong ... I assume they change something on the page that triggers our calendar inspector.

So maybe you should contact them as well?

Btw this is just an annoying error - it does further nothing special.

Greetings,
George
