I posted this question yesterday, but it isn't showing up for me today --
weird.

I need to create a multi-tiered menu system in FW4. Imagine 3 layers,
horizontal bars stacked directly on top of each other. The top bar features
several "buttons," like menu1 menu2 & menu 3. As the user mouses over each
different tier1 option, the 2nd tier changes -- menu1 has one set of tier 2
options, menu2 has a different set, etc.

Same with tier 2 -- if the user moves his mouse down to the 2nd tier menu
items, and moves across, the tier 3 options will change, as each tier 2 menu
item has its own set of tier 3 sub-nav options. Also, not every 2nd tier
item has 3rd tier sub-nav options, so as the user moves across the tier 2
navbar, the 3rd tier nav bar doesn't just changes, it will appear and
disappear.

I'm a fairly experienced FW user -- I understand concepts like slices,
buttons, navbars, frames, disjointed rollovers, etc. But I've never quite
done anything like this, and I'm having a heck of a time making it work!

Any suggestions greatly appreciated. And if anyone has a sample, native
Fireworks file that does something like this which they can share, that
would be excellent!

I can't get pop ups to work horizontally. (In other words, to pop up their options stacked side by side, not vertically) Am I missing something?

when you are in slice mode. you see the outline of where the menu will pop up you can also drag the menu to the location where u want it. did you try the indent button which creats sub menus?

I've been able to move & indent the popups, but not get the various items which comprise the popups to actually sit side by side rather than stacked vertically. Am I missing something?

Thanks...
