Help the victims of the South Asia Earthquake

One of the writers for DMXzone is Syed Mazhar Hasan from Pakistan, he lives in a country that has been badly damaged by the earthquake which jolted South Asia on Saturday, the 8th of October.

Fortunately Syed is doing relatively well, but a lot of other civilians did not survive the deadly earthquake. Buildings and houses in Pakistan are badly damaged and millions of people lost their homes. “At least 47,500 people had been killed and 42,397 people had been hurt", Pakistani Interior Minister Aftab Sherpao said.

Mazhar lives in Karachi which is in the southern part of Pakistan, where only after shocks were felt but the deadly 7.6 scaled earth quake rocked the northern and north-eastern areas of Pakistan and taken more then 47,500 lives reported to date. Aid workers in Pakistan say winter weather and untreated injuries could cause another wave of deaths in the earthquake-hit region. With more than 3.3 million people homeless in and around the region of Kashmir, the threat of hypothermia is increasing as the temperature drops below freezing.
