Firefox 5 Beta Lands on Android Market

Mozilla has launched the latest version of the popular web browser Firefox for Android and brings some nice enhancements along the way. Now with the option to opt-out of mobile tracking, and performance enhancements, Firefox just got a whole lot better.

 

Firefox 5 Beta for Android

Mozilla released this beta to Android alongside releases for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux, so the little green robot should be proud to be surrounds by the likes of the computer operating systems. Moreover, the Firefox betas can now be found in the Android Market from now on so you’re no longer required to download the build from the Mozilla site and sideload it to your Android phone. However, one should keep in mind that this is a beta and while it may offer up some enhancements and features the main Firefox Android browser does not have, it could still be a bit on the unstable side.

Many users will like that the “Do not track” option is now available in this build to you can tell advertisers to leave you alone. Sort of. If mobile tracking is a privacy concern of yours then this option should put some of those woes at ease.
