Create a Candy Flavored Text Effect in Photoshop

Create a candy cane-style text effect in Photoshop

Photoshop is the leading digital image editing application for the Internet, print, and other new media disciplines. In this quick tip tutorial Enrique Elicabe will explain how to create a candy cane-style text effect in Photoshop. Let’s get started!

Create a new document. Set width to 600px and height to 450. Resolution must be 72 DPI. Duplicate the background (Go to Layer > Duplicate Layer > OK) and rename the new layer as ‘Background Pattern’. Now Enrique Elicabe is going to add some texture. Double click on ‘Background Pattern’ and the ‘Layer Style’ window will appear. Go to ‘Pattern Overlay’, select ‘Cherry01' from the list and press OK. To create the vignette style you have to double click on ‘Background Pattern’ layer and, once the Layer Style window appears, set the following values.
