Active Slideshow released!

(August 25, 2005)

Due to the huge success of Flash Album Generator and the precious feedback and great ideas from you, a new extension has been born: Active Slideshow.

Bring your photos to life in an amazing Flash slideshow. This extension uses awesome effects from the famous director, Ken Burns. The slideshow slowly zooms in and pans across your photos, bringing your photos to life. Furthermore, you can add your favourite sound or music track, making it the most enjoyable slideshow ever!

The extension allows you to create and customize your slideshow within a few clicks in Dreamweaver. Fireworks is used to convert the images to the specified size. The Flash player is used for displaying the slideshow to the user.

The slideshow generates an instant user experience by streaming the images and sounds directly. This way the user can enjoy your slideshow instantly even with a low bandwidth connection.

Note: You need Fireworks MX (2004) to use this extension

I would like to be able to choose to display the slideshow in a popup window (as in the demo) or in a DIV on the main page. It would also be cool to be able to optionally display text captions with the photos.

but not more. You have to spend to much time to see all the pics and without any broaband connection its almost impossible. And witch surfer got time????I think its more to show your pics to your friends at home, not for online use.

While I think its a great extension a photographer wanting to show his images doesn't get an opportunity to show the complete image on its own.
