The number of Podcasts recently surpassed the total number of radio stations worldwide with a total number of 44,000 Podcast feeds under management.

Although the number of Podcast listeners are much lower then the total of U.S. radio listeners, podcast circulation is consistently growing nearly 20% per month while the number of radio listeners is declining.

In less than two years, the number of Podcasts available online is tenfold that of DVD titles while the DVD is mentioned as the last "most successful consumer product launch in history".
