Disable Submit Button

This small behavior disables a Submit Button after the first submit.
A common scenario is that the credit authorization number is late to come back, the user becomes anxious, and he or she presses the payment button again.
One way to protect the user is by disabling the tempting button after the user clicks it. This behavior sets the javascript when a submitbutton is selected.

Written by Kenneth Sim on September 13, 2007This behavior dose not work with an image submit button in IE7. The button become disabled onload. On the other hand it works just fine in FireFox 2.0
Disables Submit but does not submit form
Written by Ray Hunt on December 24, 2006I too had this script execute in error. I use a javascript validate as well and the form does not submit but the submit button does disable. Almost cost me an order on my webstore, possibly others!
RE: Doesn't seem to work if other JS functions are on the page
Written by Chris Charlton on January 6, 2005If this one did't work, until an update, you can try Kaosweaver Submit Once, much slimmer in options, but worth a shot.
Doesn't seem to work if other JS functions are on the page
Written by Rob Kirkwood on January 6, 2005Seems to conflict with yaromat's check form function. Can't get it to work properly. Button does grey out but form doesn't submit. Maybe someone has an answer? Would love to get it working because I really need this function. Cheers
