I cannot run DMX2004 on my PC due to its memory usage. My system specs are Win98SE on AMD Athlon XP 1700+, 256MB PC2100 RAM, 32MB ATI Rage Pro.

After a fresh boot and loading Zone Alarm, Norton AV, PWS and Webshots Desktop, my PC has 78% system resources free. Loading DMX drops resources to 59%, but loading DMX2004 drops them to 38%. Upon closing, DMX releases memory to bring resources back up to 77%; DMX 2004 releases to 72%. I re-booted between each test.

While running DMX2004 with five files open in split-code view and running Mozilla Firebird, my system resources dropped to 6% and I had to close DMX2004.

I probably need to get some more memory and it's fairly cheap nowadays; but, I should be able to run DMX2004 along with a browser and email app with my current configuration. I do not have such a problem with DMX.
