This is a neat little application, but seems buggy. The image I used lost proportion in width when uploaded. Also, the reflection does not appear when uploaded.Proportion and reflection looks great in browser preview. Using DW CS3 and FlashImg. 103.

It may look like that, but I have FlashImageEnhancer 1.03 installed in the Macromedia Extension Manager for DW8 and DW9. I attempted to use the application again yesterday, but this time the image would not show up at all in the browser. Only in the Preview. Since I very recently installed DW9, I have not yet uninstalled DW8. Is there a conflict to having the Enhancer installed on both programs?

The reason for thinking that your dmxFlashImageEnhancer.swf is not the latest one is because your file have different size. (The latest one have size of 29.9 KB and your is about 3.09 KB).

The extension could be used even when there are more that one instance of Dreamweaver (for example 8 and CS3).
But there is a issue during the update of extension which is used on more that one instance of Dreamweaver. In this case the update does not replace some of the files.
To fix this you have to uninstall the extension from Extension Manager for all instances of Dreamweaver (otherwise it is not uninstalled but just disabled). And then install the new update.

I am at the end of my rope with this. I have uninstalled DW8. I uninstalled all components of Flash Enhancer and reinstalled on DW9. It is not working! I can get the image in Preview, but no image is showing up in the browser when I upload. I chose to upload all:

The script is in the header:

I did manage to use the Enhancer on another website, although it did not come through as expected, but at least the image shows up on the page in the browser. This time I get no image at all.
The installation seemed to go well, I had to input my registration# again and fill out ID/password info.

Hi Birgit,
You have used the "preloadImages" behavior ot this page - but it script code block is gone and can not be found. So a javascript error occur and all javascript processing stops.

so remove the onload event and everything should fine.

Hi George, I removed the unnecessary script left over from another page:
(
, but it did nothing to bring up the enhanced photo. The image is still missing. I deleted the entire code and redid it, but still nothing. I don't understand it. I at least got something, if not perfect, on another similar site. The code is exactly the same, but I used DW8 and now I am using DW9.

Here is a link to the other site:

This one, the image is distorted in width, if you click on it you will see the original, and the reflection does not show. But at least the image is there.
Do you think there is a conflict with DW9?

Hi Birgit,
The problem is that you have not uploaded all the files of Flash Image Enhancer.
You are missing the following file into your ScriptLibrary:
* dmxFlashImageEnhancer.swf
* expressinstall.swf
Please, upload all files to your server.
