I'm working with a dual monitor setup. When working I drag the pallets to the right screen and'I'm working on the left screen. Alle the pallets on the right screen appear in the bar as a seperate program without a title with just the microsoft logo. Very anoying because it's alle the same program. This wasnt the çase in DWMX....

Yup, I have the same problem. To minimise on it I've had to put everything into one floating panel. The ONLY reason I mind it taking up taskbar space is when I want to click another item on the bar, the click makes the floater's taskbar item dissappear and I have to re-aim and click. For someone in the thick of work, this is bloody irritating!

C'mon Macromedia, you're so close with some fantastic software. I personally have switched to DWMX2004 from Homesite 5 with this release, and that's sayin' something!

CRAZY!

Can't believe MM have overlooked this. I really dislike the way the palletes dissappear when DW loses focus, but now I have a real reason to- my task bar's going mad with programs appearing and dissappearing.

I have tried docking as many panels together as possible, but can only find how to dock them on top of each other- I have mine arranged with palettes on the left hand monitor; the file browser to the left, a panel with the design and code etc. panels to the right and a panel running along underneath them both with the Results palette. I see no way of doing this that avoids having 3 extra program windows displaying on my task bar- SLOPPY!

To add insult to injury in the week and a half that I've been trying DW2004 I've had the palettes not reappear when regaining focus- this probably happens every other day on average. Why does this happen? Why is there no method of saving pallete locations/ layout?
Did they not have beta testers? If they did, they don't seem to have been very capable...

Another thing that's been happening with DMX2004 that I've not had happen with any other app (inc. the last 3 versions of DW) is that every so often it decides to open the main DW window in the secondary display, behind the palettes..?

I'm just plum ticked off that you're forced into the MM workspace. Using 2004 on my dual monitor setup drives me nuts, but where I really hate it is when I'm on the road and working with a single monitor.

When will companies realize that the best UI is one that is the most flexible?
