Is Smart Image Processor pure code or do I need a server component?
Answer:
You need a server component installed for the Smart Image Processor. It supports the following very famous server components that are most probably already installed at your server:
If you don't have any of those installed - we even have included our own server component that you can install.
Also even if you have your site in regular ASP - if ASP.NET is installed on the same server - you don't need to have any aditional server component installed! The Smart Image Processor is so Smart that it uses the installed ASP.NET from within you asp page.
The Server Check
To test what server component is installed we have created a test file just for this. Click here to download the file.
Put the two files in a directory on your server and open the detect.asp page in a browser. It will tell you if any server components are installed and what they are.
Note: For Smart Image processor 2 you need to follow this procedure

You can find the component by going through the tutorial How to Install the Component in the Help section of Smart Image Processor. Click on the Help button in the UI.

I did the server check and none of the components are installed...
the ASP.NET is on the server but returns the following error:
An error has accured with ASP.NET component Msxml2.ServerXMLHTTP
Returned:
The specified module could not be found.
what shoul I tell my ISP (that lists ASP.NET support as available in my package) in order to be able to use your image processor?
