sites pretty but you need to teach them about optimization even on a T line it took a bit to download...btw where do you teach i'm thinking about goin into art instruction after i get my BA

site LOOKS great! really nice visual effects. I would say that the students are beginning to understand the importance of visual impact in a field where the average attention-span is as long as...as...what was I saying?

However, I have to agree with Vamp. The site loaded almost immediately for me, but Vamp is using a measley T-1 (he he he). Plug-ins for Photoshop like ProJPEG or Image Vice, compression tools built into ULEAD imaging software, pre-loads on splash pages, the "when to say when" principle...if you give them these tools and ideas they should be superb!

One of the difficulties I encounter is coming up with a quick and functional way to seperate the student's PNG files and exported GIF/JPG files. No matter what I try and how many times I go over it, they always seem to end up inserting the PNG version of the graphic and this is contributing to the download times of their pages.
