I developed my web application on IIS/ULTRADEV/PHP/MYSQL in windows 2000 but on uploading to my linux server i got this error below

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mysql_pconnect() in ./adodb/adodb-mysql.inc.php on line 113

this is really disturbing & i need a solution pls.
