Firstly Thanks for the time and effort you put into putting this tutorial together, I was wondering is there a demo of it working some where just to get an idea of the ratings, i.e one an image is uploaded can any one rate what was uploaded or is it only the person who uploaded the item.

No demo at the moment. But yes, anybody can rate any file in the current setup.
