Hi,

I'm fairly new to Dreamweaver MX 2004 but I'm coming along.

Are there any addons - Extensions and/or Scripts that you feel are essential for every developer to have?

Thanks!

Each extension is purpose based. Productivity is the main focus. There are extension suites that help handle file uploads (a non-DW default), one helps extend DW to aid developing Intranets, many eCommerce solutions (carts), dynamic emailers, dynamic charting/graphs, Rich-Text Editors, form validations, routine code/functions, documentation integration, etc. etc. etc.

For me, since I'm a coder mainly, I like coding enhancements (right-click tools, code snippets, function catalouging). I use some DMXzone extensions (PurePHP Upload, SmartImageProcessor, SmartMailerPHP) and I use some from WebAssist.com and definitely InterAKTonline.com which has really raised the bar in extensions...in my opinion. There are so many and the first place to start is here @ DMXzone, and Macromedia Exchange (www.macromedia.com/exchange/)

Ohh, I almost forgot, one cool new developer extension is <b>MX Coder Pack</b> by InterAKT.

For me, here are some extensions that have made my life much easier and that I wouldn't want to live without:

<b>WebAssist eCart</b>
www.webassist.com/Products/ProductDetails.asp?PID=54&RID=350
Not free by any means, but in my opinion the most complete shopping cart solution I have found.

<b>DMXZone Pure ASP Upload</b>
www.dmxzone.com/ShowDetail.asp?NewsId=1622
Amazingly powerful and flexible tool that has saved me countless coding hours.

<b>DMXZone Advanced Open Window</b>
www.dmxzone.com/ShowDetail.asp?NewsId=197
Another powerful and flexible tool that has helped me have a quick turnaround time on projects.

<b>Kaosweaver Expert Calendar</b>
www.kaosweaver.com/extensions/details.php?id=63
Seems like every project I work on has need for the user to submit a date, and this little app helps keep everything looking nice.

<b>DWfaq Date/Time Server Formats</b>
www.dwfaq.com/store/detail/?id=DWfaqDtTm
A great extension that allows me to format dates in dozens of useful ways.

Anyway, hope these helped.
