It's Time to Give up Server Behaviors

July 26, 2016

We'll tell you exactly how and why

Do you remember when we first released HTML5 Data Bindings about three years ago? Back then we start talking about dumping server behaviors and going for the client-side development. Today, with a full package of extensions to replace them, included in the Database Connectivity Collection PHP/ASP, we're proud of what we achieved so far. If you're still not convinced about the benefits of using the latest technologies, then our newest article, called Replace Server Behaviors with DMXzone Extensions (Part 1) is just for you.

The Story

In part 1 of this article series we'll show you the huge difference between Dreamweaver Server Behaviors and the technologies that DMXzone extensions use. You can see the comparison between the technologies used by the deprecated Dreamweaver server behaviors and DMXzone's extensions - HTML5 Data Bindings and DMXzone Database Connector PHP/ASP.

Also we included video tutorials to show you how to create database connection, recordsets, work with repeat regions and more. More step by step videos on how to work with these great extensions you'll find in the DMXzone Database Connector Manual.

Stay tuned for part 2, when we'll take a closer look of the technologies used in Dreamweaver for User Authentication and how it's done with the more advanced DMXzone extensions - DMXzone Security Provider PHP/ASPDMXzone Database Connector PHP/ASP and HTML5 Form Validator.
