I have the same issue. Windows Server 2003, IIS6.0, permissions set appropriately. I have all the same symptoms. I tried the advice in forum to edit the metabase file - NO GOOD!

I tested the IIS config by putting it in IIS 5.0 Isolation Mode. Then everything works fine!!! I have no idea what in IIS 6 is causing the issue.

Did you ever figure it out? I noticed there are several posts like yours, and they have not been answered. It seems like no one really wants to tackle the problem.

i queried this with ny host and this is the reply...

"The server that you are using is an Windows 2008 R2 IIS7.5 server.
I have had a look at DMXZONE Dynamic Flash Gallery and see from the website that it uses Pure ASP Upload to upload files and images. Unfortunately in our Acceptable Use Policy the use of Pure ASP Upload is not permitted as it places to much strain on the server affecting other users.

We have also seen from other users that have experienced issues with their websites and sessions that when Smart Image Processor is used on IIS 7.5 that the memory used by the website suddenly shots up to 1Gig of memory usage before then crashing the application pool. So again with this you would not be able to use this on our servers."

This makes a lot of my DMXZone extensions redundant

Are there any plans to update the extensions to work with newer versions of IIS ?

Hi

I recently had this problem when moving to IIS7 on Win2008 you need to give the folder httpdocs write permissions for the IWPD user ie for the domain freddyblock.co.uk that would be Servername/IWPD_99[freddyblock} where 99 is the unique number allocated by IIS.

Ensure that permissions are inherited by subfolders - this is the default if you are unsure press the advanced button on the permission popup and its on the first tab.

Kind regards

Jon

I am having the same problem with my new host.

the photo will actually upload to remote site. But doesn't appear in the gallery. I get the "You are not allowed to upload files"

I can change text, delete photos, but just can't upload correctly.

The host is using IIS7 + Windows 2008 64 bit
