Ideally I would like to put the navigation panel in an advanced layer pop-up on the left so that I can make it come in and out by clicking a button. I can't figure out how to get the navigation commands to work from the pop-up to the main page. Is there a way to do this?

f that won't work, is there a way to make the navigation on the left instead of at the top?

Thanks,

Jim

When the user launches the web site (made in Sliding Panels), the user sees three buttons at the top (home, close navigation and open navigation). The home button brings the user back to the first panel (I have already done this using Behaviors). When the user clicks (or taps) on the open navigation button, a section will slide out from the left side (covering part of the left side of the panel) that has buttons with links to each of the panels. When the user clicks on the close navigation button, this section will go back into the left side. These two buttons and the home button will be at the top in the Header and be available to all of the panels. No matter which panel the user is on, the user will be able to click the open navigation button and a section will come from the left with buttons linked to all the panels.

I tried to do this using Advanced Layer Popup, but once you have embedded another html in the Popup, it will no longer "talk" to the main page of Sliding panels. I have inserted code for each button on the Popup to go to a sliding panel but it does not work once the html is in the Popup.

Is there a code that I can add that will make it work with the main Sliding Panels? For example - something that tells it to go to the "root" or "parent"? Or another extension that would do the trick?

Thank you very much for any assistance.

Hello Jim,

I don't think this can be done with advanced layer popup. But you can check this video tutorial: www.dmxzone.com/go?19116 and put the controls inside.
