The poster image loads fine but once you click the play button the video does not load and the circle graphic in the video player just spins.

Video plays fine in Firefox and on iPhone and iPad.

I made one other test. If I type in Safari the url to the path of the video, the video will load and play. That tells me the video file itself is good.

For some reason the video will not play through the html5 video player in Safari.

I discovered the issue. I am using Dreamweaver 6 and I think it has a few quirks and does not always automatically load all the supporting files for a page.

When I opened the activity window for Safari for the page that contained my video, it showed an error that this file did not exist "jarisplayer.swf." So, I manually uploaded this file. After that the video played fine.

Based on this, am I correct in assuming that on the Mac the Safari browser is not playing using the html5 video player but is using Flash to play the video.

Side Questions:
I created some videos that I am placing in a column that 320px wide. Everything works fine, except the control panel is partially cut off. It seems the control panel is 420px wide. So any videos smaller that this results in part of the controls being cut off. For example in my 320px video the icon to make the video full screen can not be seen as it is cut off.

Is there some way to scale the control panel to the size of the video?

2nd side question:
Safari Only Issue.
I have one larger video (30MB). On Safari once you hit play, the poster image fades away like it should and the controls show up on the bottom but the video player screen remains black until the entire 30mb of the video has loaded and then it begins to play.

There is no spinning circle or loading icon to let users know the video is loading. This will cause many people to think the video is not loading. If the user happens to click play button on the video player while the video is loading, I can see in the Activity Widow in Safari that It cancels the loading of the video and start loading the video from the beginning again. Is there a way to have a loading icon show up while the video is loading and change the behavior so if the user hits the play button on the controls while the video is loading that it does not cancel the loading of the video and cause the video to be reloaded from the beginning?

On Firefox the video begins playing almost immediately and does not require the whole file to be downloaded to begin viewing.

Answer to question 1: Seems like the skins are currently designed to work on 420px minimum. I will discuss that issue with the developers, so they can fix it in the near future updates of the product.

Answer to question 2: Please take a look at the product manual
and make sure that you are using exactly the same settings for Handbrake video converter. Probably you forgot to click web optimized checkbox.
