I am trying to update this extension and I keep getting back that I do not have adequate permission to uninstall or update the extension. I have looked at the permissions and ownership on the files in C:\users\[user name]\roaming...\configuration\shared...\HTML5 Video Player and they are fine. I also uninstalled and installed several other DMXzone extensions and this seems to be the only extension affected, so I am assuming it is extension specific. I'm using CS6 on Windows 7 x64.

Hello Neo.

Are you using the creative cloud update from Adobe on your DW?

Hello Neo.

I would suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if resolve the issue.

1.)Run the Adobe Extension Manager CS6.exe as an administrator.
2.)Go to Program Files > Adobe > Adobe Extension Manager and Right-click on the .exe file.
3.) Go to security tab when the properties window is shown. 4.) Make sure that you don't have any "deny" or "custom permissions" which can contain restriction permisions applied for your account also for the administrator account.
5.)Try again and follow the steps further to install the extension.

The permissions are fine. I would think a problem like that would affect all the extensions, not just one (others may be affected, but none of the ones I uninstalled and reinstalled to test). Also, if I didn't mention, a reboot did not fix it.

GOOD NEWS THOUGH. THE PROBLEM APPEARS RESOLVED.

I downloaded the latest download of the Extension Manager which appeared to be a downgrade from the one installed. After that, I reapplied the Adobe Updates which included an update to Adobe Application Manager.

Either through the reinstall, or through an update from Adobe, everything works fine now. I was able to uninstall version 1.04 and install 1.05.
