I thought the update to version 2 would allow images of various sizes but even with the width and height attributes added the slider still insists on filling the entire div with the image, thereby distorting virtually every image. Am I missing the way to make this work?

Hello John.

That is the way the extension suppose to work. If your images are 400x300 and your slider width is 800 the images will autofit to the container keeping their dimensions.
Can you describe a little bit more detailed what functionality do you expect and what you are trying exactly to achieve?

The real issue is mixing portrait and landscape images. I can make sure landscape images are always 600x400 and portrait images are always 400x600 but that means I need to establish the width of the slider to 600, which makes the portrait images scale to fit the width. So if I want to do this need to use another tool?
