Not sure if there is an extension for what I am trying to achieve. A good example of what I am talking about is on this site, www.theportraitstudio.ie/ if you choose any form the left menu, say 'family' you are given 4 thumbnails and by selecting a tn you are shown the image. I cant use swap image behaviour in DW as all the images must be the same size and I will have alot of images (hece preloading issues) any ideas people, I would just like to have an image appear in the main window (not in a new browser window) when its associated tn is clicked on. hope I made myself clear and hopefully someone can shed some light on this,
Thanks a mill,
Tom

If your web server/host allows PHP or ASP or even ColdFusion pages to run, then I'd look into that type of solution. If so, you'll most likely get the content window page done with URL querystrings (ie.<i>pictures.php?photo_group=1&photo=15</i>. If you read the example string, you'll see that you can associate a group (to filter what thumbnails to show), and each image (which will "refresh" the page and display chosen photo), no popup window neccessary.

Also, if you are using frames, the user(s) will never see the querystring'd page. If not using frames, trust me - no one cares, it's fine and will work. <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>
