As I said I managed to get ultradev to connect to my data base and the php
bit is all correct, this was not the problem.

When I select update record from the insert menu and select myy connection
the tables from the data base show up fine but when i click ok it says
please select a connection. If I hadn't selected a conection the tables
from that database wouldn't shoow up so i am very confuzed.

I suggest re-installing your JDBC drivers, I had problems like that before and when I updated them I realized their were a lot of missing files and I don't even think I had the newest version. So try back and tell us what happens.

Here is a link to get the JDBC drivers: mmmysql.sourceforge.net/

Hi there,
thanks for your suggestion,
i downloaded the last mm.mysql-2.0.6.1.jar in C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver UltraDev 4\Configuration\JDBCDrivers
but i still have the same message " please select a connection" even if all the connection are present and working otherwhise.
Any other suggestion ?

Thanks,

Minh

hi,
I have the same problem as you but found that the Record "Insertion Form" located in
Insert -> Live Objects -> "Record Insertion Form"
worked
(bug?)
bye.

For many good reasons, when developing the MySQL JDBC Driver I did not use the latest version of that driver.

I would suggest that you download my extension, and before installing it, remove the relevant files in your Configuration/JDBCDrivers folder, and then install my extension.
(It can be downloaded from www.udzone.com/showDetail.asp?TypeId=3&NewsId=1190).

Sometimes it is not always wise to upgrade to a newer version. Especially when the driver in question only adds a limited amount of functionality.

If it isn't broke, don't fix it.
