I have just bought the upgrade, and as feared many bugs from DMX 6 is still there <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>

Im on a mac running 10.3 now - but the problems where the same under any system. I HAVE posted them on MM site as i did earlier when running DMX 6

1) The panels keep disappearing from time to time - cant figure out if it has anything to do with quitting from the dock - but it seems not.

2) Site view keeps on resizing its columns - switching from site to site makes me have to resize the columns "Local site" "size" and so forth over and over again. Annoying as h...

These problems are also observed on completely clean systems (i keep a partition for this purpose only).

Hey, Gunni-
Thanks for detailing a few. I can say that #1 does reproduce for me, too (but I've never seen it in prior versions?), however #2 is something I adjusted to workflow-wise long ago. Reasonable enhancement request, though- I can understand why this would be frustrating.

Any other issues to note so far?

Hi again Scott - there´s more

3) Synchronizing has become very very slow and i have noticed something strange that might hold the answer.

DMX6 was quick in the first task and then it would scan very fast for changes.

DMX7 has a looong first task - then it seems as if it opens every folder on the client side as if it wants to se for itself whats in there <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle> This slows it down enormously.

4) Presenting the result of its synchronising rundown - the requester scrolls to the bottom?!?! and stays there? I have to scroll up to get the listing in view.

5) It would speed up production tremendously if one would be able to right click any item and select "Show in finder". This is for applying finder functions to the selected files for instance.

6) I cant find the REFRESH header function - its not where it was in DMX6 (which is where the manual states it is).

Performed a clean install after removing all old stuff- and installing even under SAFE BOOT.

regards
Gunni

more stuff left over from DMX6:

7) The rollover image button doesnt have a TARGET attribute

8) The colorselector (when f.i. clicking background color) is no longer able to pick colors from anything it hovers over.

earlier you could click and hold over colors in the selector - then drag it anywhere and select by releasing it.

It still shows what color is underneath - but doesnt pick it. One has to click inside the color palet to release it.

It would be great (as a small compensation for the thing with panels disappearing <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle> that one would be able to save the workspace.

As it is one is able to arrange - but the auto arrange doesnt allways do a good job. Loading a preset would be a good thing.
