Can the view thumbnails control be used alongside the 'horizontal looper' from Interakt? For example if I wanted to create a gallery.

I'm not sure. The horizontal looper from Interact is based on records.

File Genie although supports the same function. Horizontal repeating is fully integrated.

Cool. I just noticed it says that in the main description although a quick look at the tutorials seemed to show it was just linear looping.

The Filegenie has 2 behaviors for looping, the default repeater which is the same as Macromedia has for recordsets and the table repeater which allows you to give a number of columns and it will create a table with the content.
