In ASp with a MS SQL backend.
I am looking for a how to on allow a user to upload a xls file and have the columns placed into the corresponding fields in a sql table.

For example, my user wants to upload a client list to his website. So i give him a xls file or csv file layed out in the same order as the database table. When he fills it in he then goes to the website and uploads it to the database.

Thanks!

I've been working on this earlier this year and have not found a really stable solution yet. But i'm very intereseted in components or pure code

Hi Guys,

I'm looking for a similar solution to import a csv file into an Access table.

Had a scout around on the Net and found a good set of postings that look like they might do the job, have yet to try them - will give it a go soon

If anyone knows a better way, post away
