Hi

I'm wondering why DMXZone decided to do away with displaying screen names substituting them with peoples names instead? When did this happen?

Hi Lee,

We had an systen update last week that made the forums display names the same as the authors display name in the rest of the site.

So we choose to make those uniform and keep the same. We can switch to all login names but full names seems more logical to me.

Maybe something for a poll?

Greetings,
George

Must say, I prefer the full names to the user names.... Easier to remember who is who.

Hi George/Vince

I agree with Vince, I do prefer the names approach, makes the interactions a bit more personal. I do think it should be put to a poll though.

Lee's point about a poll is a good one; I would have liked to have been asked about the change before it happened... or now be given the choice to display either my screen name or real name.

slight bug i've noticed is the & nbsp 's appearing between first and last names, i'm using firefox 0.10.1

Still getting the "&nb sp" between first and last names alongside posts, but only when using firefox (currently using 1.0) - its Fine when in IE

Hi Dave

Maybe you can push a couple of Georges buttons to get him to move on this. The response times from anyone but yourself on any feedback about this 'self help' forum is turning into a joke - it's easier to push rope!
