After 1 week of trying and reprogramming my pages x times I managed to have the extension work, more or less. Now I encountered some more problems and I do hope that one of the well earning founders is finally willing enough to help a customer this time.

1. Progress bar
The progress bar pops up, but doesn't show any changing value. It just shows 0%. By the way it would be better to show up total of mails to be send and the actual mail beeing send. How can this be done?

2. How do I set the correct value of the timeout?

And I don't care at all that this is the wrong place to post an extension specific problem.

The progress bar is made in flash and uses a temporary textfile that is updated everytime a email is send. Because flash runs at the client you have to make sure that the temp folder where the textfile is stored can be accessed thru the web.

Which timeout do you wish to set?

I got an answer!!!! THANKS mate!

The text file is stored in the cgi-bin folder on the webserver. It should have the needed rights (read/write)

At the moment we do have 500 customers growing every day. Is there some kind of calculating rule?

The temp directory has read/write permission and I see the file on the server when I send a newsletter. But on the flash bar there is still only 0%.

Snapshot of the temp file:

total=7&current=4

Looks like the flash applikation can't read the data.

Just let me show you the structure I'm using. Maybe that's helping you assisting me:

website/cgi-bin/..
read/write directory = temp directory

website/newsletter/send_newsletter.asp
website/newsletter/yellow_mailprogress.htm
website/newsletter/yellow_mailprogress.swf
(no read/write access on directory)

website/ScriptLibrary/incSmartMailer.asp

Result:
- Mails will be send
- Flash progress bar pops-up
- Flash progress bar only shows 0% than ready

So, what can I do to make this progress bar work properly??

So the text file is created, the ¤ should be a &.

Is the cgi-bin folder accessable thru the web, try an other folder.

How do I "convert" the ¤ to a & ?

I tried an other folder, it didn't work. Is read/write permission enough?

It didn't work again <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>

I don't understand this. Do mailadresses with "-" not work? Or does Access not work with your application?

It's so frustrating...

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d'

Type mismatch: 'objMail.EncodeHeader'

WHAT DOES THIS ERROR MEAN? (I'm using ASPMail)
