When I write a query in Advanced mode to build a data set, I can see test results. But, if I use SIMPLE mode, no tables populate the dropdown, nor do they show up under the Tables in the database tab.

Any thoughts on what might be wrong?

Thanks.

Should also have mentioned that even with just the dataset on the page and nothing else the page throws an error.

I have the exact same problem. Did you ever find a solution?

There's a script that needs to be uploaded and installed on the server. Unfortunately, my server host won't allow this to be instealled since it's a shared server, so I'm stuck either moving to another host or working with ASP instead of .net.

I'm choosing to go with ASP at this point.

I actually still use ASP most of the time, just for reasons like this. I do have a specific need that requires .Net though. The workaround of using Advanced is fine, it just bugs me that they don't show up.

Do you happen to know where I can find that script?

Here is one of them. I couldn't use the fix, but here you go!

The file is DreamweaverCtrls.dll and it needs to be uploaded to your \bin directory.
