Still trying to get to grips with this thing.. I can creat a show on the index page works fine.. but..

Does it always name the swf file "slideshowpro" ? yes i know i can choose different name for xml files

Well here is my problem I tried to creat another show in same directory but on another page but it keeps changing my original show becos i cannot change the name of "slideshowpro"

Hi Phil,

The player name is always activeslideshowpro.swf and you really don't need to change that.
You should be able to add as manu slideshows on one page as you wish - as long as the xml files are different indeed.

So it should work fine - if not - please provide me a test link so I can check.

But, in another FAQ (How to play Flash in Flash Player) or something like that, the answer was to change the XML file name to ....(damn my memory)

Anyway, if you change the XML name so that you can play the video in a Flash window, then how do you do this for mulitple shows? Since all files are in the same directory

(Please let me know if I need to clarify that)

Having different xml files in the same folder shouldn't be a problem

Well, what I tried and it seems to work, I made folders for each show and put the .swf and html and xml in those folders.

Seems to work, please let me know if you think I shouldnt have done that

Also, Firefox doesnt play my slideshows, any ideas?

Each slideshow in its own folder that is the best way to go.

Do you have a link so I can see why is not working in Firefox? usually the flash object dimentions are wrong or in percentage.

Hi George,

I've been a busy bee developing these slides with your "Awesome" software and its funny you mention "FireFox" because I just downloaded it to verify everything’s working ok. ITS NOT...

GRRR.... It seems that Firefox does not accept behaviors especially "open browser" which I entered data for one by one, since I have so many photos for this project.

What should I do? I don’t want to use regular links because my show looks stupid in a big page with a little slide up in the left corner. I actually came here tonight looking for your previous post about renaming the xml file (luckily I did good by separating all those folders---thanks for the post) however those open in a big page also.

Is there an easy way for me to make the browser page open without intrusive commands (intrusive to FirFox and Netscape) but still only open the exact size of my show? I know the java command but I don’t like to resize peoples browsers as I don’t want to make them mad.

P.S. I used another software along with yours to create a secondary option for slides,,,, GARBAGE....

I truly love your product and I thank you for your great support in these forums.

Try not to touch the links called “slideshow” those are from that other software and will probably freeze your session. I will remove them tomorrow.

Half my problem solved. The reason my windows would not pop open in FireFox is totaly my fault. I was using the image cell as the primary source for the Behavior command and to create the visual effect of the link (for mouse over) i added a hot spot over it. Well it seems that doesnt fly with FireFox but its fine for IE.

Anyway, sorry about that, however can you please still advise on the rest of my post as to window size, since the solution I just mentioned above is not the greatest and the slide shows just look so much better when the window opens to exact size.
