Hello,

Sorry - was posting this to wrong forums - there's no clear way to get to this forum until your email auto-reply directed me here.

I can't place more than one instance of a DMX Flash gallery on the same site. Trying to have more than 1 gallery on the same site using your extension is proving to be very difficult. I have done a find and replace sitewide to rename all instances of dmxFlashGallery2 to dmxFlashGallery20, for example, then rename the files, upload it all and that works, but then the second gallery never does. I've even made a copy of the site, so that the different files for Script Library directory won't overwrite. Currently, the first gallery is still working, but the second gallery, if I try to delete a file using the Dynamic Gallery UI, I get 'Unable to find photo in owning gallery 'filename.jpg' - it is not relevant which image I select to edit or delete.

The second gallery is in a different directory, the gallery itself seems to be working, yet I can't get this editor component to work. I want to have a total of 4 galleries, all of which I want the client to have the ability to manage on his own. One gallery at a time, I love your extension, but this guy has different topics he wants to cover in separate galleries on the same website...

Please advise...thank you

Hi Bill,

This is weird ... you should be able to have as many galleries as you want - even on the same page!
You don't need to rename anything - just make sure you give them all an unique name.

Make sure you use the latest version 2.03 - there you can specify gallery name in the extension dialog box.

If you still have problems - please provide a live url so I can check.

Greetings,
george

Hi George

Here is the live URL:

www.spykstrabuilders.com/

The two links - interiors and exteriors. I just tried adding a new verison of my "Exteriors" slideshow, it overwrote something, because now that slideshow and dynamic editor work, but my Interior slideshow is no longer letting me edit any images. It was working great yesterday, before I tried to just add a differently named instance of your extension, but as I said, I cannot get this to work. When I add a slideshow at the same level and same directory as a previous slideshow, I only get a single instance of the swf file the extension normally creates. This would prevent me from having two instances, wouldn't it?

Thanks

Bill

And now if I try to edit Interiors, which was working fine I'm getting the serialization error I've seen before...

I'm sorry - adding a second gallery with editing capabilities will NOT work. I've tried every permutation I can think of. I'm getting the 'unable to unserialize XML message' on the second gallery if I try to make any changes. URL is same as above if you want to check it. Galleries are differently named, with separate gallery directories for the images. The XML files are appearing correctly in each of the gallery directories, but only a single copy of the two SWF files and ASP file are created. When I create the second gallery, it overwrites the first set of files. If I upload the second round of copied files, the second gallery works but the first gallery no longer does.

Please help

Thanks

Bill
