Hello,I have created a menu of several buttons. With the onmouseover and onmouseout action a layer appear and hide. That works great.
One of the buttons shows an other layer when clicking this button (the others buttons lead to a page). This layer hides again when I move the mouse over the other buttons again.
What I would like is this layer to stay visible even when the mouse move over the buttons. The onmouseover/onmouseout effect must be active, but it should not lead to hiding the layer that appeared onclick. Is this possible?
Thanks and regards,
Manuel.

Try assigning another "layer group" to the layer that should not be hidden onMouseOut.
You can specify that in the 'show init' behavior dialog.

Hello Marja,
Thanks for the quick response. Sorry, I cannot find the 'show init' behavior dialog. Where should it be?
Are you referring here to the 'menu group'?
Manuel.

Yes, that's the one.
The 'hide layer' behavior only influences layers in the same 'group'. So if you assign another group to the second layer, then it won't be automatically hidden when the first layer is hidden onMouseOut.

Thanks!
I have tried this before, but probably not correctly.
I will look into it again.
Regards, Manuel.

Yes, fixed it!
There was an onload event (for a hide layer genie action) on the page that created the conflict. This onload event should acually have been a onmouseover event. After correcting this it all worked fine.
Thanks again!
Manuel.
