There must be something wrong in the recordset or connectionstring. Can you post the full recordset code.

Has anyone found the solution to this problem yet ? I'm using MX / Access / IIS / XP Pro and when i hit F12 for the first time my page displays ok. If I try to refresh the page or click the link to another page i get a "Page Cannot Be Displayed" error pointing to the asp code on line 6 : rs_eng_about.ActiveConnection = MM_conn_addax_STRING; (same as post originator's code line). Funny thing is - if i wait a minute then try to click on another link or refresh the current page with the error, the page loads just fine. I've tried the obvious setting delay to 5000 in the ODBC utility and i think my permissions are set up ok - although i couldn't say for certain.

Is it just me or did it used to be a lot easier getting your dynamic site up and running (although there weren't as many great extensions available). The knowledge barrier for a beginner seems much higher than it used to be
any help greatly appreciated

OK, so after an hour banging my head against the desk i shut down the computer and went to the supermarket to buy beer. An hour later I switched on the PC and tried again and no Page Error problems. So the solution is to either go buy Beer and/or Reboot your computer. Seriously though something funny which i don't understand was going on and it's disappeared for now thanks to a reboot.

Hi this is beginning to drive me nuts too.

2-3 times a day dreamweaver 8 updated to 8.0.2 using the php model will just hang.

I just get unspecified errors, no error code... nothing, the recordsets fail, the test DB fails too, I leterally get nothing. I have turned all firewalls off and still nothing.

I have to reboot then it works fine again??? I did try just logging out and in again but to no avail, it must be a reboot.

I am posting this as I am at the end of my rope and someone else must either be experiencing this or has a solution. PLEASE! PLEASE! LOL
