Could you please list the options you have specified in the Pure ASP Upload 3, the type of file the you are upload and to what upload folder.

Also what server are you using? Win 2000 or Win 2003?

Thanks,
George

Hi George,

For testing on my localhost I use Windows XP Pro. and also installed Windows .Net framework 1.1 Dreamweaver version 8

- I only want to upload images to the upload folder "photo" [folder has write permission]
- File data is NOT stored in database

when uploading image getting error 800a0035

every time I reopen the extension 'Allowed Files' jumps back to Custom...

George,

Here is a test link:
www.theperfectphysique.com/test/upload.asp

I have the following settings...

Timeout: 999
Path Type: absolute (also tried relative)
Store: is on filename, although this test doesn't use db (just uploads)
Conflict Handling: overwrite
Upload Folder: "../images/uploads"

Also, tried with progress and without
Progress: Currently on "Windows" with default settings.

Thank you for getting to this so quickly... Looking forward to being able to use this extension and all the great new options.

FYI:

Installing PAU 3 also killed my SmartMailer extension. I had to reinstall SM because I was getting the following error:

"Javascript error while loading Smart Mailer.htm: Unable to open script file "DMXZone:Scripts:Forms<img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle>rogreefilemenu.js" (error 2)

I left out my config folder path above to save typing.

With all of these issues, should I get rid of PAU 3 and go back to 2.2???

Hi Gregbo,

PAU 3 really don't have to do much with the Smart Mailer - maybe you deinstalled PAU 2? You can leave it - it goes fine next to each other.
Seems by deinstalling PAU 2 it also deleted a shared file with Smart Mailer. Indeed reinstalling Smart Mailer solves the issue.

Btw for your "File not found" error - did you make sure that the upload folder has full write permissions? For the IUSR_xxx, IWAM_xxx and ASPNET users?

Greetings,
George

Yes... all permissions are there. The folder works fine with PAU 2.2.

Also, you were right... I did unistall PAU 2.2.

Still need help with PAU 3 though... 2.2 has always worked... same server... same permissions.

George-

One thing that might help is that I have never been able to use the dhtml or flash progress bars. In the past, I was able to choose the windows file transfer gif... which worked ok. In this case even if I choose no progress bars... I cannot upload.

Hi Gregbo,

Do you see maybe a temporary file being created in your upload folder?

Do you have a test url so I can check directly? If it is private - mail it to

Thanks,
George

Thanks for all of your help figuring this out. Making the upload folder path an absolute path for Windows 2003 servers was the answer. It working great now!

Hi, just to let you know that I've had similar problems with win 2003 - but setting the path to absolute didn't work.

I got this message set to 'absolute'

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0035'

File not found

/ScriptLibrary/incPU3Class.asp, line 1468

Also, when I apply the Server behavior to the page I get errors like 'While executing findDynamicSources in PureASP Upload 3_ds.htm, a javascript error occured - I click OK then I get another message for analyzeServerBehavior in DynamicSelectList.htm

Hope that helps. I think I'm going to slip back to the older version for the time being.

Pure Upload 3 certainly looks like it'lll rock when the bugs are gone.

cheers

Im getting the same error and on my main page even my standart insert record behavior was getting some java script error in dreamweaver after trying to use the extension.

So i created a all new test page, the only thing on it is a very simple form... i did the insert record behavior 1st, then added PU3 and get the same file not found error when trying to test it in browser.

Here is the weird thing, when i had it on related I got the error message immediatly:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0035'
File not found
E:\INETPUB\DRAKEMEDIAINC\WEB\ADMIN\../ScriptLibrary/incPU3Class.asp, line 1468

When i have it on absolute i get it after the progress bar is done and get this error:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0035'
File not found
/ScriptLibrary/incPU3Class.asp, line 1468
