Hi I just purchased your software and it is not working!!!I tried all your support documents including those from Thomas Muck and on two fresh windows and dreamweaver installs and I get the following error!
"Fish Eye Menu is corrupted!
Please reinstall the extension.
I am using Dreamweaver MX on windows Xp extension manager V 1.7.240...please help...
I am guessing that it is because the installation wizard does not start on restart of MX so I followed your steps deleted the temp .mno file etc and still no luck!
Thanks

Hi NA,
Did you tryed to download the extension again - maybe you had a corrypted download?
Is the error you got from the Extension Manager or in DW when the installation wizard should start?
Greetings,
George

Yep thanks...
I downloaded the file 3 times now to different folders the size on disk is 7.97 MB (8,359,936 bytes) when downloaded each time so I am guessing I have the whole file.
I ran the extension in safe mode in Administrator login to remove the possibility of file locking or permission issues and still I get the same message. The error message is displayed when DW starts see below!
That the install is corrupted! What should I try now?

Also I noticed that the extension is unticked in the Extension Manager directly after this message is displayed, if this helps!

Hi NA,
I found the problem ... it is indeed DW MX specific as this DW version limits some of the extension file name to just 27 characters.
We will solve this in the next update, but for now here is a workaround:
1. Close DW MX if it is open
2. reenable or reinstall the Fish Eye Menu extension in the Extension manager
3. In the following folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver MX\Configuration\Commands\_notes
rename the following file: dmxFishEyeMenu10_install.htm.mno
to : dmxFishEyeMenu10_install.ht.mno
4. Start DW MX - now you should get the installation wizard. Complete it and the extension will be installed fine.
Sorry for the inconveniance. It is sometimes difficult to support such old DW versions and I will strongly suggest to update to a newer DW version for the best product experiance.
Greetings,
George

Yes saw that as well - again it is DW MX only ...
Seems DW MX does not create automatically subfolders if instructed to. Will fix this also in the next update.
For a bypass - make sure that the gallery path you are seleting already exists under your current folder images folder.
Like suppose you have your pag1.htm in a folder called /fisheye
and you are selecting the "Minimalistic Medium/pink" images then make sure that the following folders exists on your site first:
images/Minimalistic Medium/pink
under the folder where your page resides in - in our example /fisheye
Sorry again for the trouble - it is DW MX stuff.
Greetings,
George
