When I insert a 3D Image Flow gallery within Spry Tabs (using Dreamweaver's Spry Tab effect) it looks all wrong in IE7, it works sometimes in IE6 and looks fine in Firefox.

Please view the test page in IE7 to see the problem: www.durangocolorado.com/wildernessLuxuryTest.php

As you will see, the slide show seems mirror image and not properly displayed.

Thank you, Klaus

By the way, I have tried it both using the Internet Explorer AC_RunActiveContent.js and without and it makes no difference.

I just set the 3D Image on the page outside the Spry tabs as well and it has the same problems, so the Spry tabs is apparently not the issue.

If you look at the link you will see.

Hi Klaus,

Seems you are running an old Spry version... and it seems to me as problem with the Spry tabs unable to position correctly Flash content.

Could you please download the latest Spry 1.6?

Get it as Dreamweaver CS3 extension from:
labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/

Click on "Get the Spry Updater for Dreamweaver CS3 now"

So install it update all the spry files and your site and let me know if the problem still occur.

Greetings,
George

Hi George,

I have just done as you suggested and there is no change. If you reload that url now you will see it is using a new css file (the background color has not been modified as I had previously done) that presumably came with the 1.6 update.

What is interesting is that in both IE6 as well as IE7 just now, when the page first pulled up it was perfect. Then, when I refreshed the page, in both browsers, it went back to not seeing the sizes.

Thank you,

Dear George,

I have tried everything I know to do and cannot make it work. It is still doing the same. I hope you will be able to help, as the client is anxious for the site to be up.

By the way, this week I became a new subscriber to the CMX e-Magazine and that is how I got the idea and basis for using Spry Tabs, from studying Alex July's "Spry Presentation" article. I followed his instructions.

Thank you,

Klaus

Hi Klaus,

We have found the problem. It is in the flash movie of 3D ImageFlow Gallery when it determines it size so it can center the images within.
We have to make this more bullet proof so we are working on it right now.

We will get this in the next update that is planned for mid next week.

I can send you a beta as soon as we fix it for extra testing.

Good catch!

Greetings,
George

PS. You should really get rid of those java applets on your page - they really slow everything down! There are enough javascript only tickers available. No Applet is needed.

Hi George,

I would really appreciate receiving the beta as well. I of course work weekends, so if it is available over the weekend, that is dandy. I will use it immediately.

I know about that applets. I inherited them, along with a sloppy Front Page site, from the previous designer and the client wants that ability to show the mortgage rates and they want to be able to make the change each day themselves, so they log in and do so. I had not realized they slowed things down, but now that you point it out, of course they do. I can do a ticker in Flash. Maybe that is what I should do? Do you think that is best? The only problem though is that they would then not be able to change the rates themselves, as it would be in an .swf. Do you maybe have a product at DMZ that would enable the client to make the daily rate changes, as they do now?

Thank you again, Klaus
