Hi
I am working on the new web site which include slideshow pro , fish eye menu and 3D imageflow gallery and I LOVE it. However,
I have trouble with slideshow pro when I roll over fish eye menu on my intro page and the intro animation seems very choppy. Any way I can solve the problems.
thanks

Hi Jeff,

First huge congratulations on your web site! It looks really fantastic! It is an amazing showcase of our extensions combined with fantastic photos and design!

About the slideshow pro and fisheye combination: unfortunately this is a limitation in the flash player plugin for Firefox and such. When a lot of javascript animations (like fish eye) happens on the page - the flash player is slowed down ... In Internet Explorer it goes much better as there the Flash Player is embedded as activex control and it seems to run much more smoothly.

I've tried many things to improve this, like having wmode="window" and not transparent (but you have it already right to window) that helps a bit. You might also want to select the checkbox Flash8 in the Active Slideshow pro inspector to use more advanced Flash 8 and greater functionality for bitmaps. Only this helps also a little and the problem still persists.

Seems that with newer Flash players the slideshow is also consuming more and more CPU, like with Flash Player 9 and 10 it requires doubles the CPU as with Flash Player 8 ... this is something we are researching to see how we can improve.

So for now unfortunately not much to do ... try the above recommendations for small improvements.

Also when you are done with the site - can we feature it in our newsletter? it is a great showcase and I'm sure you will get plenty of visits!

Greetings,
George

PS. The design look fantastic only the leather background does not fit well... according to our main designer <img src=../images/dmxzone/forum/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>
