We have installed Active Slideshow Pro on several pages for a client e.g. www.drcheryljones.co.uk/news.html
Several of our client's website visitors have confirmed that the are unable to see the slideshow unless they REFRESH/RELOAD the browser - Is there a setting we can change please?

Hello Mike,
I don't see any problem with the slideshow on your page in any browser. Do you know what browsers are your clients using? There also may be a problem with the flash extension on their browsers.

Thank you for your reply, this is what my client e-mailed "Some clients (six out of eight) stated that the slideshow of quotes did not appear on some pages" - The only way they see the quotes, is by Refreshing the browser, is there a work around or setting which need chhnging? I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR HELP

There is no problem with the slideshow on your page. Do you know on which pages the slideshow won't load? And do you know if there is a progress bar of the slideshow loader on these pages?

This corresponds with feedback from clients who tried the draft website out over the weekend. When we click ‘refresh’ the slideshow appears and you can see it loading to 100% before the slideshow of quotes begins. If you don’t click refresh it is just a blank space under quotes."
Good luck! and thank you for your help...

I've been testing the site about an hour and still can't get the error in loading like your clients. Obviously there is a problem with the browser plugin showing the flash or something that is blocking it from showing up or poor internet conection. It's not your site where the problem is.

THANK YOU for your help.
It seams strange that the clients that are reportng the problems are working from different sites and using different PCs.
As the problem dissapears when the browser is refreshed, is there a way to 'force' the refresh in the extension, or is there a meta tag we could add to the pages?
Sorry for pestering you like this, but it should be ok.

Hi Teodor
I’ve just received reply from our client I’m afraid:-
“I’m sorry to say I have tried the ‘rogue’ pages after I cleared the cache and restarted the browser but with no joy. On all three PCs, the rogue pages continue to be a problem. It’s working well on my machine!
Something else I have noticed…if you look at the lists ‘In this section’ of the NEWS and Contacts pages, they are longer than the other pages. The quotes are not actually in view. If you click the refresh button and you haven’t scrolled down the page to make visible where the quotes should be, even after you click the refresh button, the quotes don’t appear. They only appear when the quotes section is visible and you click the refresh button. Just a thought…”
Hope you can help,
Mike

Could you please ask your clients about their machines, OS versions, what browsers and what version of flash plugin they are using?

Sorry - We're going to have to change it from being an active slideshow, and use javascript. We presumed Active Slideshow was compatable accross browsers and versions of Flash. Our client isn't happy that so many of her website visitors have experienced a problem. THank you for your help.
